The conference and expo will outline key broadband monetization issues facing telcos, cable providers, wireless Internet companies, utilities and municipalities. BroadbandVision attendees will gain valuable insight into the opportunities for success at every layer of the broadband carrier ecosystem.

The Pre-Conference Workshops, produced by Frontier Secure, NISC and Alcatel Lucent, each will run for a half-day and will provide in-depth insight and discussion on current broadband trends important to the broadband carrier ecosystem. The Workshops will include interactive panel discussions and individual sessions, providing attendees with practical content that can be used in their own operations.

The Pre-Conference Workshops include:

  • Expand Your Horizons and Grow Your Revenue Opportunities,” presented by Frontier Secure: Attendees will learn how Frontier has developed creative ways to increase revenues in a non-traditional fashion. Topics will include local engagement, partnerships and creative use of existing network assets. Workshop attendees will discover how the bundling of traditional and non-traditional services has reduced churn, and increased ARPC and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Mining Broadband Success: Leveraging IT and Business Intelligence, presented by NISC: NISC representatives will discuss three key trends that will lead to greater network efficiency and enhanced customer satisfaction, contributing to a successful long-term broadband strategy.
  • Gigabit Network Transformation: Tools to Ensure a Profitable Strategy, presented by Alcatel Lucent: Workshop attendees will learn how to profitably roll out a gigabit capable access network, create a comprehensive SDN & NFV strategy and discover how virtualization can dramatically change residential service offerings and cost structure.

“It is important that our attendees get a well-rounded broadband education at BroadbandVision,” said Bernie Arnason, chair of BroadbandVision. “These Pre-Conference Workshops will provide an interactive, hands-on experience for our attendees that will enable them to gain uniquely valuable knowledge.”
