INX Inc., (NASDAQ:INXI - News) announced today that INX’s Steve Kaplan, in conjunction with VMware’s Duncan Epping and lead author, John Arrasjid, have coauthored Foundation for Cloud Computing with VMware vSphere 4.
INX, a leading VMware Premier Partner and the Cisco Global Excellence Technology Partner of the Year for 2009, announced a new VMware book, Foundation for Cloud Computing with VMware vSphere 4, is being released at VMware Partner Exchange 2010. The book, coauthored by INX Vice President of Data Center Virtualization, Steve Kaplan, along with senior VMware consultants, John Arrasjid and Duncan Epping is published by the USENIX Association and is available online at digitalguru.com. The forward was written by VMware CTO, Steve Herod.
Lead author, John Arrasjid of VMware stated, “Foundation for Cloud Computing with VMware vSphere 4 provides a starting point for understanding the requirements to design and optimize a virtualized data center that also serves as the foundation for efficient and safe cloud computing. While this is a personal, rather than an official VMware book, we were fortunate to have exceptional support from VMware as well as INX.”
“The opportunity to collaborate with John and Duncan was tremendous,” said INX’s Kaplan. “John is VMware VCDX (VMware Certified Design Architect) #1 and Duncan is VCDX #7. Their passionate yet structured approach to mastering the technology is very evident in the book.”
“We leverage our Cisco networking expertise in conjunction with the unparalleled capabilities of VMware to strive for complete virtualization of our clients’ data centers,” said Mark Hilz, president of INX. “We are pleased that Steve was able to collaborate with John and Duncan in writing a book that succinctly assists organizations in both understanding and architecting enterprise virtualization and cloud computing strategies.”
