Tek-Tools Partners with Arbor Day Foundation

Tek-Tools Software, a leading provider of IT resource management software solutions, today announced that it has become a corporate partner of the Arbor Day Foundation to help promote tree planting nationwide and demonstrate its commitment to the environment. For every direct sale of a Tek-Tools Profiler Suite unit, the company will make a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant one tree in a forest that has been damaged by wildfire, disease, or insects. In years past, Tek-Tools has sold more than 3,800 units of Profiler and has been consistently growing for eight consecutive quarters.

Tek-Tools Profiler Suite already contributes to environmental initiatives in data centers all over the world. To save on power and cooling in the data center, many IT organizations embark on efforts to consolidate resources often leveraging virtualization technologies. But first, they must understand the resources in the environment and how they’re being used. Profiler’s powerful monitoring and reporting capabilities help them take this all important first step. Profiler serves up a comprehensive, end-to-end view of IT resources, enabling customers to determine interdependencies and the best candidates for virtualization and consolidation. Then, its ability to monitor and manage both physical and virtualized IT resources enables customers to proactively and continually manage, maintain and optimize the data center in support of both business objectives and environmental goals.

“We are so excited to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to promote tree planting as a means of improving air quality and conserving water and soil resources,” said Tek-Tools CEO Ken Barth. “The environment is something we here at Tek-Tools are passionate about. We get excited when our software is helping customers achieve consolidation in their data centers that reduces energy consumption. Donating a tree for every Profiler unit sold is another way to see our products have a positive impact on the environment and we couldn’t be more thrilled.”
